Will this strap fit my Watch?
Almost all of our straps will fit a majority of watches but there are some exceptions. What we know as 'straight ended' watch straps will fit watches with conventional lugs (small extensions of the watch case that the straps are fitted to) rather easily. All you need to do is order the correct width strap. The correct width strap is determined by the gap in which it fits, this could be anywhere between 06mm and 30mm+ with almost every measurement in-between. We have a guide to help you with ordering the correct width strap which can be found here. It can become slightly more complicated than that when the watch you have uses an unconventional way of attaching the strap or contains a central lug. Below you are able to see the difference in the types of lug. The Omega Seamaster will be compatible with 99% of our straps because it has conventional lugs whereas the Cartier will not be compatible with any of our straps due to its unconventional lugs.
What length strap do I need?
Fit the wrong length strap and you can find that it becomes uncomfortable with wear. The ideal fit would be that when the strap is fitted to your watch and on your wrist that the fastened buckle is sitting central with some strap remaining to thread through the fixed and loose keeper.
Most women have a wrist size below 6 ¾ inches and will require a Medium length straps which are normally 110mm/70mm or smaller.
Wrists that measure above and up to 7 ¾ inches would require a Long length strap which normally come in at around 120mm/80mm or similar.
XL length straps come in to play when your wrist measures above 7 ¾ inches and those straps are normally 120mm/100mm or longer.
This is a general guide to sizing the length of your strap but something to consider is the diameter of your watch. Someone with a very small watch would possibly need a longer length strap because some of the length of a regular strap would be used up compensating for the diameter of the watch.
What size buckle do I need?
The product pages for our straps contain a 'STRAP SIZING GUIDE' which give accurate and detailed information about the specification of the strap. You will find the table has a column titled 'Buckle End'. The measurement under 'Buckle End' will tell you what size buckle the strap needs or already has. If you look at the example below you will see that an 18mm strap has a buckle size of 16mm. In most cases, a strap will taper down by 2mm at the buckle end but if you want to put a different buckle on to a strap then please reference this size guide before committing to buying a strap.
